Ships, which are the essential elements of maritime transportation, have an indispensable role in world freight and passenger transportation. Besides sea routes, played by ships inland water transport is also very important. In addition to these important economic effects, a major pollutant source. These emissions negative effects on human health, cities, environment, as well causing atmospheric pollution. Lake Van Turkey's largest lake, with area ??3,713 km2, waterway, active ferry network operating between Tatvan-Bitlis. this study, emission calculations ferries were carried out; it was aimed develop inventory for ship-related air pollution Van. Additionally, environmental (social) costs estimated assess total impacts. One year ship operation data used calculations, engine power method preferred, according available data.
